Paramedic

Menard County EMS is seeking an experienced and dedicated Paramedic to join our team. As an integral part of our EMS service, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pre-hospital care to the residents of Menard County.

Location:

• Petersburg, Illinois

Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically sick and injured.
• Assess patient conditions and administer appropriate medical treatments
• Safely transport patients to medical facilities
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical personnel
• Maintain accurate and complete patient care documentation
• Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of medical equipment and vehicles
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and emergency response teams

Qualifications:

• Valid Paramedic certification in the state of Illinois
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Paramedic in a busy system (preferred)
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR, ACLS, PHTLS, & PALS certifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in high-stress situations
• Knowledge of current medical practices and procedures
• Ability to pass the SAMIC system protocol test.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
